How do you form the little ball made out of poly yarn on the floating
nymphs ?

I know some people 'cheat' and use foam in a nylon stocking or similar
other approaches,
but Id like to try this version.

dub it on the thread .... hold the thread straight up and slide the dubbed
poly down into a ball ... take a turn to hold it in place then a few turns
horizontally around the base of the ball, similar to the ones at the base of
a parachute post ...

Rainy's float foam works great. Just shape it to whatever you want. Great
for the Booby pattern too.
