I only ask bcos Sea fishing is one of the most popular sports in the UK and
im staggered to see an almost dead NG.

it is a shame as this was once a thriving group, but it became over run with

it is a shame as this was once a thriving group, but it became over run with
dick-heads !!!!


Many of the people who used to post to uk.rec.fishing.* have floated
away to web-based forums like Angler's Net[0]. It's partly something
that's happening to the whole of Usenet, partly a reflection of the
vulnerability of unmoderated forums to sabotage.

No it is not dead just we are all sleeping. Web forums have however taken
over sadly me thinks.

Well it is a bit slow probably seasonal the Cod aren't running yet but some
other groups are thriving speaking as an Alt Fan Landrover regular

Actually it's not popular, don't flatter yourself. How many weirdo's
who enjoying harming wildlife do you really think there are?

It's called hiding away, going underground. Rightly so, fishing is
socially unacceptable these days.
