Default There are no fish ...

Gents:

Jacksonville winter fishing sucks.

There are no fish in JAX winter waters
Not catfish, bluefish ... or mermaids daughters.
Not trout not spottail even eels
To bend the rod or scream the reels.

Throw shrimp or plastic, mullet or steel
There is no bait to fill the creel.
So best beware your JAX fishing lark
Better shoot a bow at Susquehanna River carp.

Over the last 2 -months I'm 0-19 in Jacksonville surf/jetty fishing ...
and I have never_once seen anyone else catch a fish. Morning/noon/night.
High, low, changing tides. High/low wind, moon , BP , temp ...

What's even worse --- I've seen NO baitfish schools and precious few
feeding birds. They must be on a vego diet eating wild rice. What I think
happened is --- early cold weather killed most of the river shrimp.

That said, the empty beaches north-of-town or gorgeous. Happy fishing ---

Try fishing in the tidal creeks along the ICW. That's where I fished in
the winter. Lotsa flounder, trout, occasional reds. Dinner fish.

HK:

Funny ... I wrote this yesterday morning, and got so tickedoff that
eveningtime I headed over to the Arlinton boatramp. First cast with an
ACME gold 3/8oz Kastmaster wedge I hit a 14" speckled trout. Next cast I
got another hit, but lost the fish.

weird:
