Just looking for opinions on the Shimano SA2500FD spinning reel?
Looking at getting one and want to hear from you all before I make the

I caught a Sahara 4000 out of the lake once, brought it home, cleaned it up,
and it's a sweet reel. Must be tough too, to have survived the waters it was
in.

I give it a thumbs up!

SA is the Sustain, SH is the Sahara.

Not to take away from Shimano's (which I own quite a few), but I think a lot
of people are missing out on a great reel that's big bang for your bucks,
the Okuma Avenger. I use the AV-20 and It's replaced my Sahara 1000's. Plus
the price was only $34.00 w/free shipping.

I'm itching to try the Okuma Metaloid MD-30 I picked up this winter. This
reel and the Quantum Energy are as smooth as silk - the only iffy part is
that both reels are shiny enough to signal airplane traffic.

That's so you can use them as an emergency signal mirror if you break down on the water, and you don't have to pay for the option,
it comes standard! ;-) Doc

I don't know what kind of price you're finding Eric, but my source has them
for $69.00 for all models, with free shipping.
If you're interested, let me know and I'll forward on the website.
