This Might Be Old News
""The Shadow"" wrote in message ... A nickel titanium alloy, hhhmmm anyone ever broke a Terminator spinnerbait? Oh and I see Michael that you are still a spokesperson for Waterloo rods. Ever flex a guide frame as often as a spinnerbait frame? I think you've achieved Curmudgeon status there Rodmaker - I'm envious as I'm only an Old-Fart-in-Training Still not what I would put on a "custom" rod , but then Waterloo isn't really building custom rods , now are they? -- "The Shadow" Millennium Rods "The Citizen Fisherman" wrote in message . .. Spring steel? Where did you get that? The RECOIL (their caps, not mine) guides are nickel titanium alloy. I've actually seen them on a rod, albeit a broken one... Anyway, I think they are intriguing, and am anxious to try them out. As I said, I'll let you know... -- Tight lines, Citizen Fisherman On 6-Mar-2004, "\"The Shadow\"" wrote: I have had the opportunity to examine these guides from REC. They are made of a nickel plated spring steel. Not exactly what I would use on a custom rod. Might as well be using boat guides. JMHO! -- "The Shadow" Millennium Rods |
