Strange lure
 
I remember that bait Nikolay. Supposedly the hook on the upper arm would
snag your bass (in the face I guess) while you were fighting it.


I remember the ads saying the hook would catch bass hitting at the blades. I
have had that happen a few times, and sometimes hook bass under the mouth. I
guess that means they hit at the blades and the hook got them below their
mouth.

Well, that's the thing - there is no blade whatsoever! The upper hook is
directly attached to the wire - maybe if you put a swivel/blade on this
upper hook like a trailer?

The ones I remember had the hook attached to the same swivel as the blade, I
think. Could the one you have lost the blade somehow?

No, no, this one has the hook attached directly to the wire. Not moving,
the shaft is in-line with the wire, wrapped with tread and varnished. The
whole thing is pretty symmetrical, except for the lead head and the skirt
on the lower hook. I'll try to take a picture, but I've no idea where to
post it (no access to binary groups...)
