I think there are a lot of funny Brits...

Now if you'd said Scandinavian humor....

Let's just hope the Irish don't respond by doing the same thing with
taters. Where would we put our gravy?

Actually, I'm a big fan of British comedy. I loved Monty Python and I am a
big fan of the British comedy shows on PBS. I thought "A Fish Called Wanda"
was made especially entertaining--John Cleese, Michael Palin, Maria Aitken.

Of course the only one of the above three actors capable of competing with
Kevin Kline (Otto), in that particular movie, was Michael Palin (Kaa kaa,
kaa, Ken), IMMHNUO!

When I was in Ireland I learned it was actually the Irish who
invented Lutefisk. They were trying to figure out a way to
poison the viking invaders. They didn't count on them........

Scottish ingenuity is--like British humor--not to be laughed at.

Yes indeed -it is possible you might find it difficult to understand -
it's because you need brains :-)

RE "Scottish ingenuity is--like British humor--not to be laughed at"
and "If you had brains"

"not to laughed at" means the same as "to be taken seriously"
Aha. The original statement is the same as:
"British humor is to be taken seriously, because it is funny"

or, in other words:
British humor is not to be laughed at, because it is funny.

.....or, if you had brains you would....

needed the Viagra for?
