Yes but we're using Papa Bear

http://www.pbadventures.com/location.html

He came highly recommended by a number of people.

I have some friends who used Pa Pa Bear last year, and they were very
happy with them. This year they're using them on a different river, and
I know of another group using them as well. I have a dvd of their float
trip last year. All I can say is WOW! I would suggest 2 backup rods. ;-)

Did they float the Kanektok? If they did, what time of year?

Like RW mentioned, if this trip goes well, I'll be looking to do Alaska
again. Next time an even more remote river I think. There's a river
system that has some HUGE Pike and also good Sheefish, or ............

Indian Joe suggests--sounds like a world class trip--if any of your group
gets sick etc; give me a call --i have 6 wt and deep on hand

Also please use that gps to mark a couple of good fishing spots--I might
get Jeff. Wayno and Pamlico Jim to follow you next August./

They are so busy making lawyer money that they don't realize that when you
get old a different bone hurts each morning, so you better do it while you
can--see you soon--hope you know a slow stream we can try one day--sounds as
if I will be fishing the Madison from the bank.

If the timing is right, sign me up on the waiting list.

They floated the Arolik. This year they are floating the Kisaralik. I'm
not sure about the timing, but I think it was mid, to late Aug.? FWIW,
they caught all 5 species of salmon, rainbows, dollies, and grayling. If
your interested, I can send/loan you the dvd I have.

PaPa Bear accesses the Aniak, the Arolik, the Eek, the Kanektok, the
Kisaralik, and the Kwethluk.

The Aniak is the river I want to float. The problem is that it's only
recommended for experienced rafters. I'm getting some rafting lessons
from my Stanley/Belize buddy, Charlie, this summer. He's a legendary
rafter/hunter/outfitter who pioneered rafting on the Middle Fork of the
Salmon. So, next year, the Aniak is high up on my agenda.

The Aniak can be very inexpensive because it can be a one way float, no
pickup necessary. There's an outfitter in Aniak (you do need to get to
Aniak)that offers floats for $800 per person including raft rental and
camping gear for an 8 to 12 day float. He's also the outfitter that
flies into the river with the big pike.

Naw, they just spray the boat with canned English mud, a rugged outdoorsman
sprays himself with the can of English mud, and Stev...er, the rugged
outdoorsman in question, takes the bow line in his tee...er, dentures, and
starts swimming back upstream...and THEN the bodies wash out to sea....hey,
these are cheap trips for rugged types ONLY, donchaknow...

"HI! I'm Eleven and a half Eagles......Dick, and I'll be your tour guide today!

Your spending *way* too much time in the paint rm. Dick, it's had an
obnoxious effect... :)

(BTW, you will need to try hard to wipe the smile off my face. I have the
next 9 days off of which two I will be fishing the Clark Fork and the
remainder I will sitting on my dock, lathering my wife and her girl friends
back with suntan oil...) BSEG
