Reruns of the same, lame old insults lack the "charm" and "entertainment

Yeah, that's a fascinating opinion. Any idea whose it is?

I take full credit for describing your usual mode of Usenet communication
with the noun phrase "signature, knee-jerk nastiness",

Well, of course you do. But that doesn't answer my question, does it?

although I'd bet
that shiny new nickel I've just won

Oh? Did you make a bet with someone?

that it could also be described as
"good post, many will agree."

Oh yeah, you KNOW you've won the hearts of all of ROFF. Let's just sit back
a while and watch the testimonials roll in, shall we?

Wolfgang
sometimes, with coarse fish, you play them for a long time.......just
because you can.....and you don't much care whether or not they revive.

Why yes, as a matter of fact it does, it both answers your question and
describes your pathology to a T in three perfectly chosen words.

First rule of finding yourself in a hole WAY over your head:

Quit digging.

Hope this helps. ;-)

and...um...have you found a sufficient supply of boats for those of us
who are looking forward to being able to ride in a boat that we can get
into and out of the creek? Joe and I need a ride (well...joe seemed a
bit uncertain, so i'll let him speak for himself... but i'll need a ride
all around. wolf...are you drivin?

I have definitely got room for one passenger in my canoe and three in my
vehicle. I may be able to rustle up a second canoe, but no promises.

At least you have decent taste in ketchup. ;)

The spinning rod, OTOH--now you're *really* upsetting Ken.

I still have a spot available in my canoe. Ken?

Joe adds --I'll be floating in a gheenoe {?} ---using a 6wt rod and a

chartuse sneaky pete lure--- what is this spinning rod stuff ? what does FF
of Roff mean. OK I'll bring up a backup spinning rod and a can of
sauerkraut

Yeah, with ketchup, some olives, raisins, strawberries and
peanut butter you can make a killer bruschetta. ;-)

Not at all. Actually, I'd rather sling Mepps and rooster tails to
smallies with a spinning outfit than fish a crawdad pattern on the
bottom, or gawd help me, chuck a ****in' wooly bugger with a fly rod.

I still have a spot available in my canoe. Ken?

I'm not gonna make it to Penn's this year, but thanks for the invite.
I'll take a rain check though, I have a couple of canoes I can toss
on top of the car in case you guys want to do a trout float one of
these years.
