Turkish Crayfish Astacus leptodactylus
Saw one of these earlier too -
Is it something we shuold be worried about in other regions? If I was on the Norfolk Bank this would be a Norfolk record too. anyone know the status of this in Norfolk & who accepts records?. This will eat many dead fish in the river, which could cause predatory fish Like Pike to starve.it is a serious threat as all aliens are to our Freshwater fishes. They do not like eels which I was using as Pike bait but soon stripped my Sprats & Herring dead baits. Colin. -- East Coast Nature Guides Lowestoft Suffolk. enquires to |
