Default Turkish Crayfish Astacus leptodactylus

Fishing at Beccles on the Suffolk/ Norfolk border on Wednesday this
week I caught several Turkish Crayfish Astacus leptodactylus. . If I was on
the Norfolk Bank this would be a Norfolk
record too. anyone know the status of this in Norfolk & who accepts
records?.

This will eat many dead fish in the river, which could cause predatory
fish Like Pike to starve.it is a serious threat as all aliens are to
our Freshwater fishes.

They do not like eels which I was using as Pike bait but soon stripped
my Sprats & Herring dead baits.
