I don't think Cheney gives two ****s about who runs the next
administration. He cares much more about lining his pockets, and his
buddies pockets. He could have taken the "let's be subtle and steal for a
long time" approach, but instead he opted for "let's steal as much as we
can before anybody notices" approach.

As to the laughingstock thing, a wounded animal is a dangerous animal.
