Default Somerset Show 2008

I usually find some good deals on necks. Not usually A quality, but
good for nymphs and large drys. I use the FF Show as a time to stock up
on supplies, and I usually buy at least one totally useless fly tying
tool hoping it will revolutionize my fly tying.

AK, that's because there are less and less fly shops and more and more
guide services. Being a business owner most of my life, I find it
strange that so few of the guide services put on demos or seminars. One
would think teaching newbees how to fly fish would be good for business.

Here's a plug...The Tight Lines fly shop has a large booth at the show
and are very helpfull. Their shop has most of the items one would need
and they are always glad to answer tying questions. If you are ever in
Pine Brook, NJ, I would recommend checking them out.

RC, Find a fly tyer that doesn't have anyone watching him and tell him
you're just getting started and could he show you how to tie a basic
nymph pattern. I've had guys show me start to finish. Trust me, they
want to show off their skills.

See you there,
Cdog
