IF you want to spend money the Ice Age Floods Trail is a better deal.
The trail is a route throug a lot of geologic features created by the
Bretz floods. . Among other things they also carred the Willamette
Metorite from Canada where it landed to Oregon where it was
discovered. The plan is a collection of sites and interpritive
centers in Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana.
There are several good guide books out on the floods, they have
pictures and GPS coordinates of some pretty cool stuff. An 800 foot
high wall of water draining a lake the size of Lake Erie can create
some interesting rock piles. A lot more interesting that looking into
a rain cloud.
