An actual fly fishing thread

Most people who make a living tying flies eat rice or cassava as a
major part of their diet, have outdoor plumbing, live short nasty
lives without health-care, do not speak English, have hands smaller
than 3 of your fingers and may own a bicycle sometime in their lives
if they are very lucky.
Get real. Vinny as a businessman? I assume he already knows how to
jerk off. So why jerk him off about him being able to compete with
people who can thrive in a global market on half the calories he burns
waiting for the bus, or design breakthrough flies in a sport he
doesn't excel in, with that IQ. Have you ever run even a small
business? Most people, including almost all my college educated
friends do not have clue one as to what is involved just in staying
legal, much less turning a profit. Running a business just for a "get
by living" is not worth it.
Reality says he should be directed toward a custodial or housekeeping
job, preferably unionized, with decent health benefits, in a secure
pleasant institutional setting, such as health-care or elder-care. And
be encouraged/taught to find his enjoyment in life and mental peace
from something like fishing and maybe fishing some flies he has tied.
