Default is Bush anti- fly fishing?

This is pretty unsettling news, just thought I would voice my
opinion.

This summer I asked a well known ( I'd like to say who, but don't
have that permission... ) fly shop owner and very active
conservationist in trout stream protection, "Besides sending a check
to the right groups, what can I do, as an individual, to help protect
this area's trout streams and ecology."

Without hesitation the answer came, "Work to get Bush out of office."

Well, if one person in a fly shop said it then it MUST be true. ;-)

Perhaps he is talking about Craig Matthews and Blue Ribbon Flies? Craig
is a great guy and has a terrific shop. I could probably go into 50
other shops in Montana and Idaho and find the same type of response. I
can't blame most of these guys. They need to preserve the cold water
fisheries for their shops to survive. They read op-ed pieces that
indicate Bush is Satan and they take the info verbatim. Ask most shop
owners about the history of the watersheds they support and most won't
have a clue about the state of the fishery in the early 1900's. The
fact that the fisheries are in better shape and continue to improve has
little significance on their stance. Of course they might change their
minds after Kerry taxes the **** out of him if he is elected.
