I just got a 1997 Johnson 200 h.p Venom and when I ran it I didn't get
any water out of the "****er" does it have to reach a a higher temp. before it starts to spray? I ran it for about a min. |

It has been my experience that it should start shooting water almost the same instant it starts running. Sounds like you might need to replace the pump impeller. Not too bad of a job, if you know what you're doing, or have a good reference manual. If you just purchased it, I'd think about taking it back and tell them you'd like your money back unless they replace it. I'd be more concerned with how long it's been out of commission.
