ROFFERS,
Does anybody have experience fixing leaky seams on breathable waders? I've got a pair of Orvis middle-grade chest-highs that are five years old and just started to leak in the upper right leg. Can I seal the seam with Aquaseal? Or is another repair required? Thanks, John |

ROFFERS, Does anybody have experience fixing leaky seams on breathable waders? snip John If the leak is indeed in a seam, your chances of achieving a good long term repair are slim. That said, you have little to lose ( the cost of a tube of Aquaseal) in attempting a repair by applying an ~ 1/2" wide light coating of Aquaseal (both on the inside and outside of the waders)on the seam for several inches above and below the suspected leak point.
