I think I found a soft jerk bait I really like. I only got one hit on it
today, but I only fished it for a couple minutes in places ideal for a soft jerk bait. http://tinyurl.com/9ypv4 6" Flappin' Shad by Gambler Baits. Its pretty cool the way it sits and tracks in the water. The slightest twitch and it will bump forward and then slowly sink flipping its tail from side to side. Cool. The best part is it doesn;t tend to spiral throguh the water when its finally cranked in. I know most jerk baits won't if you get them just perfect, but this one doesn't if you even get it rigged close. Harold over at Sportmen's Hide-A-Way gave me a bag of them to try. I think I'll go back and get a few more bags of the color I was using and a couple of fall back colors for different water conditions. -- Bob La Londe Win a Spinnerbait Tackle Kit Spinnerbait Tips & Tricks Contest Through the Month of September 2005 http://www.YumaBassMan.com |
