Now that I'm committing to 5-6 knots per line and "presentation" instead of
just shotgunning plugs in every direction, where's all the fly fishing programs? I gleefully scan all the outdoor cable channels expecting to see FF'ing shows aplenty, but nada. Nothing but bait casters and lure ******* for hours on end. What's the problem? Not enough sponsors to support this sport? Judging by its prices, Orvis could sponsor a show all by itself. So far, I've had to depend on an ancient vhs tape from LLBean (pretty good) and the memory of a FF DVD I viewed about 6 yrs ago (excellent), which in both cases I checked out from the library. Bass fishermen get to view cable programs showing every thing but a bass taking a dump in slo-mo by underwater cameras, as if the producers live in the lake 24/7. I can't even find a FF show with annoying advertisments for equipment. What's up? There has to be at least one? If so, when and where? nb |
