Default What do glofish and lead sinkers have in common.

Apparently, Environment Canada has issues with both.

Looks like Canada's Department of the Environment is holding up sales of
Glo-Fish until a risk assesment is done. See the story at

Also, looks like there is a move afoot to ban lead sinkers and jigs in
Canada. Not sure if this will aplly to lead wraps used on nymphs, but I
suspect it will. Will probably have to shift to beads completely. Is
tungsten toxic?

Not really, Tungsten is a lot less toxic than most other metals, but it is
very hard to chew, and you get a heavy feeling. It may also counteract the
function of even the best PFD.
