Anglers have been getting medical advice following the outbreak of sleepless
nights, lack of concentration and in some severe cases anglers have had their skin erupting with boil like sores and or rashes. There are cases that have caused major urinary problems including cancer. Doctors have finally come up with the answer. The skin being porous, is absorbing chemicals from some of the boilies at present on the market, this is causing the symptoms described above. Apparently the worst cases are from anglers that have ingested these boilies. A survey found that anglers using conventional baits like corn, bread , etc have none of the symptoms, whereas anglers using more modern carp baits are at extreme risk. It is recommended that where boilies are used they should be of the home made variety where the contents are controlled. The question therefore remains, if these are so harmful to humans what damage are they doing to the fish stocks. John R. Coarse Fish Protection Society. |

If doctors have, as you claim, come up with the answer. Please lead us to
the relevant research article. Or are you just full of carp (spelling and pun intended) -- I smile and go off waving (Amiably) - for that's my way Baal http://www.helden.co.uk "cfps" wrote in message ... kimbo_ came in from cyberspace and wrote somewhat knowlegably.
I remember a good few years ago now when there was a cancer scare. Something to do with the dye used in bronze maggots. I think you are refering to Chrysodine dye used to make them bronze. The dye was a carcniogenic, but only in large quantities. They seemed to work well, but I suppose it is better safe than sorry and you can always colour your own. -- I am a self made man, and a perfect example of unskilled labour lol |

Can you provide references (weblinks etc) to the medical reports. newspaper reports etc that back up this story? |
