Default Hotmaps Classic - Vendor Review

I shopped around quite a bit looking for a Hotmaps Classic West chip for my
Lowrance LCX-15mt sounder and GPS. I found one on Ebay, but let it slip
through my hands It sold for around $70. They retail for about $190. There
was an EBAY reseller who had them for $117, but after four or five e-mails I
just couldn't get a clear answer from them if they had the right one in
stock or not.

Finally I found http://www.tigergps.com Tiger GPS who didn't have it in
stock, but would be willing drop ship it direct from Navionics. They had it
for $124. A pretty good price and very good communications.

Prior to finding Tiger GPS I had tried PlanetGPS. I
e-mailed them asking if they had the chip instock. I provided map chip
desired and the Lowrance unit I planned to use it in. They said they had it
in stock. When I placed the order they e-mailed me back saying they didn't
have it in stock. Needless to say I cancelled the order from them, and
decided to look elsewhere.
