Nope, I won't be able to run with him. I've got video of that boat running
118 mph on it's maiden voyage with some tweaking and tuning to do yet. But,
I might get a chance to drive it when I'm in Miami!

Hi Bob,

They're telling me that I should run in the mid-80's with ease, depending on
what prop I run. I was hoping to get a little better than that, and
seriously thought about the 300 Merc, but I'm going to wait until they run
the Optimax technology on the 300, and they bump up the horsepower
restrictions for BASS and FLW.

The BASS HP restrictions (and now FLW) are a concern because of club
affiliates that follow BASS (and now FLW) guidlines.

I've been thinking about seeing if I can trade in my 225 opti on a 250 XS
for my Bass Cat myself.

I was told that with the Merc 300 that I could get into the low to mid-90's.
I was liking that idea but then reality reared it's ugly head. So I'll have
to be content with running the the mid-80's. Sigh......
