Default Anyone going to the Bassmaster Classic in Birmingham?

I'm seriously considering attending the bassmaster Classic next month in
Birmingham and I'm looking to keep my expenses down. If anyone is thinking
about attending, please shoot me an email and let's talk about possibly
car-pooling and splitting a room.

What is the fascination with that anyway? Is it really entertaining to
watch a weigh in live? I never got a grasp of that excitement even watching
local club weigh ins. The only time it seems to make a difference to me is
when I've got a stake in it.

It would be cool to be out on the water following one of your favorite
anglers and watching them working an area na dfiguring it out, but to be
courteous and stand back far enough etc it would be really hard to get what
you want out of it. I know they really compress a lot fo fishing into a
short time on TV, but atleast your view is up close and personal and you can
see what they are really doing.

It is interesting to go to the accompanying show. It's one of the times
when you can see new products that companies are unveiling for the year, and
you get to talk to many people in the industry.

I'm going for business purposes more than anything, but I also want to go to
see some friends that I've made over the years as well. And if you've ever
spent time in Rhinelander Wisconsin in February, you'd also understand my
intent of going.

Steve, if you drag the Cat down there you have to take a little trip over to
Logan-Martin and catch some of those monster spotted bass, you won't regret
it.
