By the way, the idea is by no means new, despite the "hype" in the

I have been doing this for over thirty five years, and I know others
who were doing it before this.

The idea, including exact instructions and illustrations, is described
exactly in what is in my opinion one of the best but little known
books ever written on river fishing. Namely "Small-River Fly-fishing.
For Trout and Grayling" by Michael Evans. Published 1972 by A&C Black
London. ISBN 0 7136 1228 2

One of the most useful and informative books I have ever read, amd I
have read a great number in the meantime.
