Shortening the fight
For fishing the tribs here, I find that the size net I need to carry is a
little unwieldy, so I've taken to using the Boga Grip and a retractor made to support it. I find it really shortens the fight. All I need to do is get the fish close enough to get the grip in his mouth. I don't lift the fish, but just use it to maintain control in the water. My experience is this really cuts down the fight. I agree with you. It also facilitates getting the hook out of deeply hooked fish by giving you more control.
