Default drumbeat for war with Iran

I never watch Fox News because they're just a propaganda mouthpiece for
the Bush regime, but I was trapped yesterday, with it playing in front
of me on the stationary bicycle in the gym. It was all about war with Iran.

The signs are unmistakable. We're going to war with Iran. The chatter is
now making it into the more neutral media, like CNN for instance:

http://thinkprogress.org/2006/09/18/gardiner-iran/

This time Bush won't bother to ask for approval from Congress because he
knows he won't get it. It's more cold blooded political calculus from Rove.

If you think the Iraq war is bad, just wait. You ain't seen nothin' yet.

This might be the fondest dream of the wingnuts - there's even more oil in
Iran than there is in Iraq - but given we're so totally consumed in the utter
****-up in Iraq - and now it's obvious the Cheney regime also ****ed up in
Afghanistan to boot - that we simply don't have the assets to get into another
war in any foreseeable future.

Ironically, Iraq is about the only thing keeping Bush from going nuclear...

It's beginning to look like these guys have totally lost their collective
minds. The next year and a half are gonna be the longest 18 months any of us
are likely to ever experience...

Fox a "propaganda mouthpiece" and CNN is "neutral"? Put down the crack pipe
and slowly back away.

Yeah, I guess CNN would be neutral to the DNC crowd. They should've renamed
it years ago to DNCNN as it is.

And we've seen plenty, like how the war on drugs obviously isn't working
given your rederick. What is it that you're smoking anyway?

Rush would be proud of you.

Anyone with more than half a brain would not.

I can only assume that "rederick" is your attempt to simulate the
word "rhetoric" via a keyboard.

Chuck Vance (it's fascinating to see what semi-literates can come
up with)

I was wondering what "rederick" was supposed to mean. Good call, Chuck.
That one was so far off that even SimRacer's spell checker didn't have a
clue.

What's scary is that a small group of relatively obscure people can reach
Bush and sell him on the idea, AND that these people are buying bad
information from a guy named Manucher Ghorbanifar. During Reagan's era, the
CIA determined that he was so full of crap that it warned its agents to
avoid him like the plague. Well, he's back, like a bad rash, trying to sell
"information" to anyone stupid or greedy enough to entertain him.

A 1987 congressional report on Iran-Contra cites the CIA warning that
Ghorbanifar "should be regarded as an intelligence fabricator and a
nuisance".
