Default Are there trout in virginia in december?

I'm am planin to plan a fishing trip to the SNP in december, but before I
go, I would like to know if there will be trout there.. (well, I KNOW there
will be trout there, but will they want to eat?) If they will bite a fly,
which flies do you recomend? I'm using a 3wt.

Thanks,
Alex

I doubt that anyone knows when the SNP trout will eat, but it is a well
known fact that SNP trout won't take a streamer of any sort!

Op --never fished the SNP, but I believe every word of what I read on

stream Wayne fishes.....

If I beleived every word that wayne told me about fishing the SNP, I'd be
standing in a stream with a 2 foot, -3wt rod, and a 30 foot leader.

There are no trout in Virginia. Everyone who lives here knows that. The
VDGIF puts some trout in a creek in downtown Fairfax for the rubes to fish
out before the end of May. That's about it. Don't come to Virignia to
fish. If you do, fish the ponds in Byrd Park in downtown Richmond. Failing
that, fish in Fairfax then spend the afternoon shopping at Potomac Mills.

No trout in Virginia since the Kepone spill. Don't come here to fish. I
did see some nice Coy in a tank at a Chinese restaurant the other day.
Maybe you could catch one or two?

Stay off the rivers, they are all in flood stage in December. Stay out of
the SNP. It is full of dead trees since Isabel and there are no trout there
anyway. Stay away....stay far far away.
