I have a lot of your foam spiders (gurglers with legs) acquired from swaps.
I fished one of your black spiders today and it served me very well. Hung it in a tree a couple of times, but got it back and will use it again next week. The gurgler swap is still on and I'll make a real announcement next week. -- Stan Gula http://gula.org/roffswaps |

A couple of years ago Willi and I were commiserating about the drought, low flows, and the necessity of pond fishing; BD took heart and sent us each a fat box full of gorgeous foam panfish patterns. Damn near caused the extermination of bluegills in northern Colorado. |

Here are a few photos of the fish Stan and I were catching: http://css.sbcma.com/timj/pics/9mile-1.jpg http://css.sbcma.com/timj/pics/9mile-2.jpg http://css.sbcma.com/timj/pics/9mile-3.jpg The middle one is my favorite because it makes the fish look big. ![]() were all pretty small fish, but we had a lot of fun canoeing and fishing gurglers and spiders. I don't think we went five or ten minutes without catching fish, and many times it was every cast. Stan calls it "instant gratification fly fishing" and it is just that. Notice the colors in the reflection of the trees on the water. You may have thought I was exaggerating in my last TR when I said the leaves were near chartreuse in color, but you can see for yourself it's true. It was a great day, good company, and a few good beers at the end to give it that warm afterglow. %-) -- TL, Tim ------------------------ http://css.sbcma.com/timj |

(snipped) Nice pix! That canoe is just TOO clean! Nice post. Cute fish. This one will agree. Hey, where's the sand and mud in the bottom? Where's the spilled Dr Pepper and the drip water from the paddles? Last time I was in a canoe that clean it was a rental at the start of the weekend. -- rbc:vixen,Minnow Goddess,Willow Watcher, and all that sort of thing. Often taunted by trout.
