We recently posted a link to a new spinnerbait color selection chart that was really well received. Many of you also asked for a chart to assist in the selection of the different blade types used on spinnerbaits. That proved to be far more difficult, but fortunately it's development was well underway when you requested it. Well, thanks to Joe (the darn slavedriver made me work through the weekend to finish it), it is now complete & up on our website. As before, you can use the following link to go straight to the chart.
Keep in mind as you read & use this that there are no absolutes in blade selection or anything else in spinnerbait fishing. Everything is relative, and each instance of choosing a specific lure component will require a certain amount of your own mental input. Many believe spinnerbaits to be the most versatile and involved of all lure types, but also the most rewarding if used correctly. They can catch big fish and are capable of catching a lot of them, but like any other great tool, they are no better than the skills of the user. You will find the chart at http://www.secretweaponlures.com/swtip05.htm. Good fishing, -- Bob Rickard (AKA Dr. Spinnerbait) www.secretweaponlures.com --------------------------=x O'))) |
