The one with the center section of the reel seat removed. I found one on
ebay, but here is a link to just the enlarged picture if you want to see
what this thing looked like.

Oh yeah... being that these guys are in Claremore Oklahoma... I'm willing to
bet that these are the same rods that I saw at the Expo.

Here's the ebay link...

They're not mine... so don't holler about me trying to spam.

To me, that looks uncomfortable as all get out and serves no purpose other
than being a gimmick. There's no way you can convince me that a reel seat
center section weighs that much that it needs to be removed and Fuji makes
them with a blank cutout if you feel the need to have your paw on the blank
itself.

But that's just my take on it.

I'm with you Steve... I was surprised to see it on eBay! Wonder how many
buyers they've had, and wonder what their return policy is?

Rich Forhan of Revolver Rods developed that years ago, saves about 1/4 oz in
weight, glue up strength is a big problem if the blank is not brought to a
water-break-free surface before bonding with Rod Bond. Tactical Assault Rods
I believe can also be bought with this reel seat.
