Think 1930's, great depression, hunting for food and no money for
bullets because you spent it all on bootleg liquor. This is the
repeating crossbow, the ecofriendly way to kill things.

Ahh, those were the days. That attitude of 'make it yourself' has been
so completely displaced in the modern world with the assertion that
its only of value if its new, mass-produced and expensive.

I think that particular attitude that the advertisers have trained the
masses with is doing more harm to our planets ecosystem than anything
else.

Bring back the DIY world, where a bandsaw made of scrap plywood and
pipe fittings was a thing to brag about and show your neighbor, not
something to be scoffed at.

And where trying to get something repaired wasn't considered
quaint and met with the universal advice, "You know, it's cheaper
to just buy a new one."
