Hi Osmo,

in Holland the company "Elberse International" ( www.elbi.nl )
organizes "road shows" . On such events you can test all sorts of
different RIO lines. ( Also on your own rod ).
I did it too and it really amazed me how different lines throw completely
different on
one and the same rod.
Maybe there are some shops in Finland that can offer you the same kind of
service.

See you in a copple of months,
Hans

If the rod seems slow, then you normally need a lighter line, not a heavier
one. Try a #5 DT, and use progressively more line until you find the "sweet
spot". This should be somewher about 60 feet of line. If the rod still
feels slow, go down a line size, and try again. Many people have problems
trying to cast slow rods, even with the right weight. Completely different
timing and power application is required.

If your rod is rated for a #5 line and is is "rather slow" it should be fine
with a WF5F or even a WF4F. You can try a WF4F and a WF6F on it to see how
it feels.

We try to get people to cast rods before they buy them so they can get
something that matches their casting 'style/speed'.

Thanks Hans and Mike, That DT line I was not considering at all.
Have to test it. We have tested this Vision Extreme Distance #5 line
with my son's Loop Blueline #5 rod and it seems to work better obviously
because this rod has faster action.

The rod is #5 and the line, Vision Extreme Distance, is WF5F. So
these should fit. But there was also windy at the moment I was testing.

Sounds good. But the flyfishing shops are rather small here.
Visiting some bigger city might help to find such kind of service.

Jarmo, do you know such shops for instance at Helsinki area?

Hi again!

I was taking WF6F Wind Cutter flyline and testing this combination with it.
Seems to work much better than my previous WF5F line.
