Default Leaving Flyrod in car?

Question about leaving flyrod in a car?
I guess it could have been helped, but we decided not to take our 2pc
flyrods in a restaurant, but instead left them in our cars. They were in a
aluminum tubes, but the car was hot in the mid afternoon, no shade.
Do you bring your flyrods in with you?

There are 5 ( often more) fly rods ( plus my vest, waders etc ) behind
the seat of my truck 100% of the time between March and late Oct. None of
them have ever complained about the heat.

I've gone into restaurants wearing waders and seen other people do the
same, but I've never seen anyone bring in a flyrod. Maybe your rods
whined alittle when you left them alone but that just builds character,
and I'm guessing they were just fine sitting around in their cases
waiting for you to return.

Frank wonders:

.....present, and more or less accounted for......what Mr. Reid is referring to
is a kind of cheap-ass plastic rod tube which once contained my T and T 5
weight. Left said tube(sans rod, luckily) in the back of a hatchback for 3 days
in PA summer sun.
The damn thing developed a very serious case of the bends and instantly became
a Clave Raffle prize.
