So, just how big of a durn fool would one be to spend a couple of days in the vicinity of Robbinsville in winter trying to catch a few troutlings? Say,.... oh...I don't know...what about the week betwixt Christmas and New Years? Danl I may have to be in the neighborhood for other reasons.... Where's Robbinsville? I'll be in the Bay Area. well...if you're talkin christmas island far...then, naw, it'd be a nice holiday jaunt. jeff (you're kiddin, right?) Actually, I'm not. In reply to Danl, Charlie Choc wrote: "Hmmm..a I have to help my son drive a U-Haul to San Jose sometime around the 1st of the year, but depending on his schedule I may wander up that way." Having never heard of Robbinsville (as hard as that might be for someone from Graham County, wherever that is, to believe), I made the connection: Danl lives in San Diego, San Jose (where Charlie's going) is (probably) in the SF Bay Area. Aha! These "troutlings" Danl's talking about might be wild, native trout, possibly even golden trout, somewhere in the southern Sierras. That's hard to resist, even if they are puny. So sue me. :-) -- Cut "to the chase" for my email address. |
