Hi folks. I'm moving to Charlotte and would really appreciate some input about fly-fishing down there. Thanks! Jamie Don't let those boys bad mouth this fine town. They can't look down on us anymore anyway. We just got a Ham's Restaurant. Seriously, you wont find much trout fishing in these parts. Way too hot. The bass pond fishing is great if you can get on a pond. Fishing the Catawba River at I 85 will bring in some fun smallies. If you've got a boat large mouth, strippers, crappie and bream are plentiful on the lakes. Matter of fact, if you have a boat I want to be your friend. You can get to some mountain waters in an hour and a half from downtown, great waters in 2. Position yourself in the northwest area and you'll be even closer. Check out http://ncwildlife.com for more info. Drew |
