I caught a White Catfish. Actually I could probably catch
a whole bunch of them if I targeted them. Just for kicks, I filleted it and cooked it up using cajun seasoning. The flesh looked good, firm and white. But the taste was kind of bland. Not bad, not muddy, just not as tasty as farm raised Channel Cat. Yet, every site I've seen talks of the White Cat as a prized food fish. Has anyone else every tried this catfish? |
