Default Simms Waders (pls read)

Hi,

Today i've bought a pair of Simms Lightweight Stockingfoots. They seem as
being made of good quality goods. But today I also read, in an advert for
the same waders, that the Simms Lightweight Stockingfoots were the lightest
goretex waders on the market blabla bla, and "were best suitable for
fishermen/women who only fish a week or two a year" ?!?!?! Has anyone used
these waders, and should I return them, and buy another model? Maybe from a
different vendor even?

The waders cost 3000 danish kroner here in Denmark, that's more than 400$ US
dollars. At that price, I'd expect something different(more), than "one or
two weeks a year".

Thank you in advance

Thomas.

Ive had a pair (the guide model) for almost 3 years and havent really had any
problems.
They are especially handy for the part of the world where I live, since heavier
material
would make them too warm to wear when hiking in to a stream.

I guess the only 'problem' is that you have to be more carefull not ripping
them when walking
through bushes etc.. (beware of tjoern and brombaer ...) but thats about all.
But if you plan to
use them at the coast in spring and autumn, then get some very good thermos to
wear underneath.
