Going through a stack of New Scientist mags early this morning, I came
across an article on the Salmon crisis in Norway: they may have to sterilise 23 more of their parasite-infested rivers with rotenone--a poison that kills Gyrodactylus salaris, along with everything else. (New Scientist 28 Feb 2004). Surfing around I found that the parasite could live in the damp felt soles of wading boots.
