Default sorta a newbie...

Folks...i'm getting back into fishing after a lot of years away.....as a
result i have some catching up to do.

Thus...a couple of questions. I'd appreciate your some advice on lines.

In looking at Fireline and Spiderwire as options for my spinning
rods.....it's kind of hard to guess what down-sides there may be. In my
distant past, i've used only mono.

How about a couple of ideas about strengths and weaknesses of these two
lines for the average spin fisherman.
