You will never know how much that confused me...
Until this date, I though 'Vang' was an alter ego for 'mfitons' . . . Although I feel that few subjects are . ummm. shall we say 'sacred' I wan't going to touch that one... john "Kevin Vang" wrote in message ... In article , says... By the way, who bought that fly from Ebay? I did, cuz none of you cheap sonsabitches would outbid me. I sent instructions to asadi to ship it to mr. a. wayne harrison, esq., of tons, to be considered a deposit (10% of a pound of flesh) to retain his professional services in the event of any unfortunate incidents at the Penns Clave. I never heard if that actually happened though. Kevin -- reply to: kevin dot vang at minotstateu dot edu |

The difference, of course, is that the Braille edition might do Mr. Wonder some good (insofar as a book that may as well have been written in proto Indo-European can be conceived of as doing anyone any good), while for Mr. Asadi it would be like listening to an LP that has been cleaned with a brick. ![]() Wolfgang i mean, we're talking some serious lacunae here! |

"ulysses" is merely boring. yfitons wayno (of course, there are people who honestly believe that jackson pollock was an "artist") Damn you can surprise me yet. I'd say try Joyce again every 5 years but that would be patronizing. (Molly Bloom, boring? I guess I missed it.) I concede its a trudge, and that Ive read it in sections, but boring? I will say Pollock was an artist, a painter even, (trained by Thomas Hart Benton.) But once he did what he did with his "action painting" there really was no need for as many others to take the same dripping route. And he probably did benefit from a push by USIA. I thought the film "Pollock" did him justice at least as far as the way he led the later part of his short life. For myself, the Northwest School (Mark Toby, Graves, Callahan, and especially Guy Anderson) better fill up that part of the '50s-'60s. (Add Stella not NW). But you might pan their dark NW side and Asian influences.) So who is an "artist" anyway? I mean who, in your opinion, is an authentic contemporary painter anyway? Dave |
