Just had a quick look on ebay and couldn't see any for sale. As a (sort =
of) comparison, I have a 12ft Hardy Matchmaker rod, bought new in 1972 =
for =A316. Three of these have been sold on ebay recently for prices =
between =A354 and =A380 - but those rods were all described as being in =
virtually 'as new' condition, i.e. unmarked, undamaged and complete with =
original rod bag and ferrule bungs. I still use my rod and, while great =
for fishing, it's showing its age a bit so I reckon I'd be lucky to get =
=A330 for it, not that I have any intention of selling it.
Why not sign up for ebay if you haven't already done so? It's free and =
you can set up an automatic 'favourite search' routine that will email =
you whenever the item you specify comes up for sale - that'll give you =
an idea of the sort of price you can expect to get for your rod.

I had thought of putting it on ebay, but wanted an idea of what reserve
to set. Didn't want to let it go for pence so to speak.

Ebay adds an additional charge if you set a reserve but you can specify =
a starting bid price for free. There's a Sealey Black Arrow on offer =
for a starting bid of =A39.99, no bids so far and bidding closes in 2 =
hours. Another Black Arrow rod has 2 days to go, starting bid is =
=A314.95 but there are no bids so far.

Ebay have changed the rules regarding reserves the minimum reserve you can
now put on is £50 so just put the start price at the lowest amount you`ll
accept for it.
