Default Nickajack campground?

I'm pondering a trip for several days of fishing at the campground near the
interstate as you pass Nickajack Lake (Tenn River). I've looked to the right
and pondered that campground on many northbound trips out of Atlanta, but
for the life of me I can't find a listing or name for it. SWMBO wants to
camp there while I fish. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

As you're coming from Georgia on I-24, there is the following

1. Camp On The Lake (On your left)
Boat Ramp and Campground

2. Anchor Inn (Actually on Hwy 72)
Boat Ramp, Campground, Marina, Fuel, Bait and Tackle, Restaurant, Boat
Rentals

I'm getting this information from Mapsource Fishing Hotspots 4.0. The
Address information isn't available to me, but it shouldn't be hard to find
as long as the names are good.

Chief,I know the place you are talking about but not the name. That point
wraps al the way around with the ramp in the middle. It is not a day use area
as I have seen people camped there for weekends when they have boat races
in that area.
Come to think of it,that grass around all those islands looks like some
great Horny Toad fishing. Hmmmmmmmmmm

Thanks Charles. I found the Camp on the Lake, which is as you point out,
on the left (going northbound). But I remember seeing campers on the right
on a very large point. All the maps I've checked indicate roadbeds on that
point but no streetnames, etc. I wonder if its a day use only or maybe a
local park?

Charles, I think you may have it. One of the maps I consulted simply had
"marion" overlaid on that point. Thanks.
