Tying Flies

You can get patterns any number of places on the web. Harry Mason has some
nice tying instructions on his website, Orvis has the patterns for most of
what they sell up on their website. After a while you should be able to
look at a fly and tie it but that takes some getting used to the materials
and techniques. Best overall book I've seen is The Fly Tier's Benchside
Reference To Techniques and Dressing Styles by Ted Leeson and Jim
Schollmeyer. It's expensive but there aren't a whole lot of things left out
of it.
