Abu made the Cardinal spinning reels for Zebco, In the later 70's or
early 80's Abu marketed a Abu Garcia Cardinal which was made in Japan..they were black, with skirted spools and of high quality.. I have 2 Abu Cardinal 3's, I don't use them any more because of small line roller which causes line twist..IMO todays reels are much better.. |

No much choice about buying stuff made in China, a lot of rods and reels
are being made in the Far East, I bought a new Abu PGS 3600C baitcaster and it was made in Korea...I think the Japanese make the best quality reels now.. |
