Anyone here have any good patterns for llama hair sand crabs and squid
(like jay murokosi uses) or bait patterns like Gray Wolf uses? Also, I have no affilication with feather craft, but they are going to be selling llama streamer. If you want the dubbing brushes, enhancers, or dubbing from canadian llama, ask feather craft for it. Also The Fly den in california is going to be stocking this stuff as well (delete all *) |

Anyone here have any good patterns for llama hair sand crabs and squid
(like jay murokosi uses) or bait patterns like Gray Wolf uses? I find llama, alpaca and yak at our Sheep and Wool festival for about 1/10 the price at the fly shops (hell, you can buy a 20 year supply of angora dubbing for about 4 bucks, silk for 8). I just use the hair in place of long streamer hackle. If you leave the lanolin in, it doesn't absorb as much water (though, if dyed, you have to replace the lanolin). -- Frank Reid Reverse email to reply |
