conclave is up at the west branch/big eddy campground this year...i'll
be in the EO fri the 17th by 7am, up at the WB late afternoon as for the rest of things: schoolies are everywhere, i can give you a good spot on the sassanoa in arrowsic (i lived in arrowsic the past 2 years) that is easily accesible by kayak....i took 87 stripers from this one spot last year just north of me (i am in whitefield) both the st george & sheepscot are fishing well...it has been real hot, but we got a very late start kennebec at shawmut is JUST turning on...you could hit caddis & maybe alders next week bigtime if the flows drop just a little GLS has been on, but i haven't been up that way since april |

met IRL? i haven't had enough coffee yet, beacause i am missing the
translation.... the FFIM conclave is fri/sat/sun 6/17-19 at chewonki/big eddy CG (its been sold) i'll be back sunday afternoon, and will probably fish shawmut alot that week i head back up north with the family the 28th (spencer pond) if you come down the sassanoa through lower hell's gate, the channel takes a jog to the left......there's usually a pontton boat docked along river right 3-400 yds below the gate.....as the tide drops, just off that ledge two small 'islands' appear... a nice gut forms between them; i used to park the kayak right on one of the rocks and wade onto the island, fish it for the entire drop.......the marsh (also river right as you head down towards bath) just below these islands usually stacks up with fish in the foam line as the tide drops off the marsh if you come down the sassanoa from the gate, the channel jogs left, runs parallel to shore to a point, then jogs back river right.....we lived on the marsh off that last point for 2 years.....shot ducks while i could see my house, and caught stripers while listening to my dogs bark....lol drop mean email, maybe we can hook up next week |
