Ahem! I'm sure you meant "we'll have fun on the Madison". Don't start with
the excuses...just put a few of those sons/sons-in-law in charge for a few
days and come on over.

...besides, Linda could probably use the break.....

Swing a dead cat, use the fur as dubbing and the whatever the cat thumps
will be a fly shop.

And, on another note. Who is attending from Oregon? I would gladly
appreciate them stopping by Freddy's and picking up an assortment of

the
Deschutes Brewery products for consumption. I would even reimburse

double
the bottle deposit to cover shipping!!!...

JR be the man. Does he need some extra money for delivery?

Nah. All ya'll'll just keep me in buffalo burgers and chips (NOT buffalo
chips, if you please....) g

Don't know nothin' about Freddy's, but I've already planned to
bring--directly from the source in Bend--a couple cases of Black Butte
Porter and Mirror Pond Pale Ale. Maybe a half case or two of the minor
brews.....

I'll bring two vises, but I'm only bringing a minimum of material--to
those flies I don't think I'll have time to complete before traveling.
I'm pretty much set for nymphs and PMD dries, but I may still need to tie
up some small green drake (flav) sparkle duns and emergers, depending on
what the hatch looks like, as well as some more salmonflies (I usually
limit myself to Clark's Stone--a very simple pattern to tie).

Sounds great JR! Black Butte Porter and Mirror Pond Pale Ale were the two we
were drinkng on the Deschutes in May. If you have room, get an extra case of
each for me. Looking forward to it. I am sure Danl will appreciate these
brews... and I'll drink a couple of Buds for Fortenberry...

If you're drinking for me you'd better drink more than
just a couple. ;-)

Not likely. I have a small truck. I'll bring what I can; we'll just have
to pace ourselves.

the owner/operator of the slide inn is an excellent flyfisherman and
tier according to reports. there is a flyshop at the slide inn, and a
lot of guide float boats stop there to stock up. a bit pricey, but good
stuff available there.

Indian Joe suggests--Slide Inn sells fly stuff but as you enter West
Yellowstone from the north-on left side of road--check out Blue Ribbon
Flies--shop run by Thomas brothers who put out books etc on the area.

good folks, who take time to help you- my non fishing daughter went in- ask
question- and got a full demonstration on fly tying

also finished helping me select flies while Ted and Jane stood in line with
big arms full of purchases.

If Harry Mason returns to Slide Inn this season -you don"t need to tie--he
has a trunk full of needed flis at very good prices. I recommend the red
assed caddis
