Here is what I did today:
1. Got out of bed. This actually was a major accomplishment due to my incredibly sore muscles from rototilling. 2. Drank coffee. 3. Raked garden to get the crap out after rototilling. 4. Dug a 10 by 10 hole in the garden where I wanted to put the gravel under the wood pad. 5. Moved big pile of gravel from cement pad to hole. 6. Put in the wood pad. 7. leveled off the garden soil again. This will need to redone later. 8. Went to pet store to arrange for bird boarding. 3.50 a day for lovebirds, 3.40 a day for finnegan, 6$ a day for pippin. Might get Brent to look after them. 9. Bought a new wardrobe. This entails the latest Tim fashion statement. Three new pairs of jeans, twelve new t-shirts, 12 pairs of socks (not black). Pretty much sounds like my old wardrobe, but there are no holes in them yet, and they will fit. Didn't buy any underwear, as I think I have many pairs. 10. Bought several roles of tape and got a couple of house keys cut. 11. Retaped the broken window in the Pathfinder. Put on new cardboard. 12. Ate supper. 13. Watched Buffy. and it only 6:30. Love Tim |

Love Tim At least you got out of bed! I, on the other hand, am still nursing a bulging disc that was misread by the radiologist, according to the neuro-doctor. Apparently, I have a bulge in the disc between C7 and C8, instead of between T6 and T7. Imagine that? I told the MD that it hurt a lot further up than the films, circled by the radiologist, indicated, but he told me that they new their business and treated me accordingly. The nero-doc has taken a different view of things. They have scheduled me for a beheading, and say that should take care of my problems. Mark |

Sorry about your disc. Besides the beheading, what are they planning on doing? Tim Lysyk Hey, your day is as important as anyone else's around here! In my case, three rounds of epidural injections are to be scheduled, and if that doesn't work, surgery :~^( They did give me this nifty home hanging kit. I attach a rack and pulley system to a door, place my head in a sling that is attached to a large bag of water, on the other end. They said that it was supposed to relieve the pressure on my neck, but best I can figure, it's going to strangle me to death, eventually. Mark --just hangin' around lately-- |

Coincidence -- for father's day, I took my 65-year old dad on a little
hike down to a NJ fly fishing stream. The hike was maybe a bit farther than I'd remembered, and maybe it required a bit more rock scrambling, and sure he'd been having problems with his back, but he seemed to get through it ok. Until Monday rolled around, and he couldn't walk. He spent two weeks in a wheelchair with 3 bulging disks. He's just had the third round of epidural injections. And if that doesn't work, surgery. Um... happy father's day, dad? Sorry about that... |
